Posted by Harry Jiang on 02/14/2017 - 05:27

As a follow-up to my previous article concerning the Changzhou Foreign Languages School controversy, in which hundreds of students' health are affected by toxic waste from a nearby chemical plant, I created the documentary that critically evaluates parents', students', teachers', as well as government officials' response to this incident. This video is now on YouTube. Please click on the links below to view my work:

As a community member states: “It’s about human rights – this can’t be pushed down our throats without consent,” said De Mier, who views her mission as helping mould policy on genetically modified animals for the country.

If this trial works – the... Read More

Posted by Emma Elizabeth Kelsey on 04/07/2016 - 11:57

Twenty years after it came to international attention that parts of Bangladesh have arsenic-tainted drinking water, the problem has yet to be resolved, according to a new report released by Human Rights Watch. "As global human rights activists it is up to us to end the global corporate malevolence and malfeasance from further damaging and afflicting our planet like never before. With the recent formal finding that Americans no longer live in a democracy but an oligarchy, as if we did not already painfully know, it becomes even more “formally” imperative now that we as ordinary citizens of the world take the vested interest in preserving life on our only planet before it becomes too late. It is high time we take back our planet once and for all from the oligarchic corporatocracy bent on... Read More
